Eddie Baker is the owner and President of Cross Creek Seed, Inc. A graduate of North Carolina State University located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Eddie has over 27 years of both tobacco seed production and tobacco leaf production. In 2002, Eddie was recognized as a Bona Fide tobacco breeder. Through his leadership, Cross Creek Seed, Inc. continues to meet the ever changing demands of the tobacco industry throughout the world.

Sam Baker is a 2001 graduate of North Carolina State University located in Raleigh, North Carolina with a degree in Agronomy.  Sam specializes in seed pelleting and handles the total operations of Cross Creek Coating, Inc.  In addition, Sam coordinates all sales and procurement operations for Cross Creek Seed, Inc.

Bill Earley was no stranger to the tobacco industry.  Bill had over 50 years of experience in providing the best flue-cured varieties the world has ever known.  Although he had many varieties to his name, one stands out among all of the rest, K 326.  Bill was the definition of a true “Tobacco Great”.

Since the beginning of Cross Creek Seed, Inc. in 2001, we were proud to have Bill, original breeder of K 326, as our exclusive consultant.  Cross Creek Farms was the first producer of K326, all under the Bill’s supervision.  Beginning in 1982, Bill guided Eddie and taught him the intricacies of growing, rouging and selecting only the “original or true” plant type of K 326 from which to harvest seed. Over the last 27 years, Eddie was able learn the nuances and thus has given Cross Creek Seed, Inc. the best K 326 in the world.

With the death of Bill Earley, Eddie Baker is now recognized as the world’s leading expert of K 326.  Cross Creek Seed, Inc. takes great pride in this fact and will continue to provide the world market the only “original and true” K 326 seed.
